VIRTUAL CITIZENSHIP OF ISRAELtm
We are building a global virtual community to connect Jews and non-Jews from around the world through their love and commitment to the continued existence of Israel as a Jewish state. Virtual Citizenship of Israel is designed to encourage identification with Israel and to give people the honor of card-carrying, flag-waving pride! For those who desire more involvement and interaction, VCIs are able to connect with one another, offer ideas on what they would like to see as a part of the VCI experience, write blogposts to be published on our website, and become an IFF Ambassador through which they can host or sponsor an IFF event in their community.
LEARN THE LOVEtm
Whereas some people are well-versed in the issues or facts required for political debate or to fight delegitimization of Israel, we offer people a different approach to connecting with Israel – one based on learning what there is about Israel to love, what meaning Israel can have in the life of Diaspora Jewry outside of the political realm, and what place Israel can have in one’s personal Jewish identity in a world where time is short, life is chaotic, and the facts blurred by the media and partisanship representation of history. There are many organizations and websites offering information on Israel, some of whom we are partnering with to expand the exposure of their valuable work. We hope to provide links to the valuable resources of information that are out there so that our friends and followers to encourage a deeper understanding of the meaning of Israel’s existence in the world. Through our innovative program development, we offer unique opportunities for experiential learning to those communities and organizations that desire to increase the level of interaction for their members and constituents.
FEEL ISRAEL AT HOMEtm
This project has been launched as a social media campaign, allowing our members, friends and followers to offer their ideas on how they retain the wonderful feeling one has on a visit to Israel. Since we cannot bottle up the air of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, the Negev or the Golan, it is easy for that feeling to fade or simply to get lost in the media blitz. But the power of the Israeli spirit can enhance one’s pride as a Jew wherever they are in the world. We, therefore, encourage people to share their ideas on how to keep that feeling alive from the four corners of the universe to which Am Yisrael is scattered.
YOUNG JUDAEA LEADERSHIP INITIATIVES
IFF Israel is working with the participants of the Young Judaea Year Course Manhigut (Leadership) seminar on project development and implementation. These students have self-selected to take on special obligations as young Jewish leaders. They are required to conceive, plan and execute innovative initiatives as a part of their time in Israel and IFF is working with them to ensure that their projects are not only sound and successful, but also to enable them to expand the reach of their initiatives beyond their time in Israel and beyond just their Year Course community. We look forward to seeing the Israel Inspirations that these students develop!
TAKE ISRAEL HOMEtm
IFF Israel is working with the young Diaspora Jews near the conclusion of their Israel-study programs to develop innovative projects that will be activated upon their return to their home communities, helping them to keep alive the passion and pride they have gained in their time in Israel by remaining involved with Israel on issues and ideas that are not hasbara or advocacy-centered.
